Google announce update to the Google Play console

Used by Android developers throughout the world Google have announced an update to their Google Play console.

According to Google, the responsive design makes it easier to find and understand important features, and we’ve added areas to help you better see your release status, acquisition performance, and guidance on policy changes.

Re-organised Navigation
Reorganised the navigation menu to group related features together.

Releases overview
See all your releases at a glance with Releases overview. Easier to identify internal, test, and production versions of your app.

Redesigned acquisition reports
Track your app’s discovery and conversion rates over time, and analyse performance with advanced filtering and benchmarks.

Here are a few other changes you should know
• Inbox, find personalised messaging area featuring helpful information, policy updates, feature recommendations, and more.
• Acquisition reports have been overhauled to help understand performance over time.
• User permissions are now clearer and more understandable. No users have had any of their permissions changed.
• You can still link to your Google Ads account for conversion tracking and re-marketing lists. However, Google Ads campaign reporting and account notifications will now be available exclusively in Google Ads.
• New search functionality has been added, making it easier to find pages and features quickly.
• Later this year, all Play Console users will be required to use 2FA (2-Step Verification).
